Are we a good fit?
Success in therapy is dependent on a number of factors, including a good fit between therapist and client. There are hundreds of different therapeutic modalities and psychological theories that therapists can choose from. Add in personal style and truly no two therapists are the same. Different modalities and styles work for different people. You can learn about the specific therapeutic approaches I use HERE.
My Personality
-
Practical, structured, and goal focused. My belief is that you have come to therapy for a reason so let's work hard together to get you to your goals.
-
I favor neuroscience over more abstract psychological concepts. I often talk about the brain and its role in my client's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
-
I love using metaphors, especially when they're cheesy.
-
I'm a big picture, holistic thinker. In therapy, this typically means addressing all the puzzle pieces, not just "spot treating" specific issues.
-
I'm a nerd at heart and love when my clients are too.
Clients i work best with
